Well you have a tragic on here now...

Been fishing my whole life but really started getting recreation / serious in the last 5 years. I fish from my Kayak mainly but also venture to the alpine lakes and streams, hence the need for something slightly more durable than the old Mazda Protege ( Love the Forester ). I Have millions of photos and stories to tell, most of the Kayak fishing tales are located on my blog, others are located elsewhere.

I'll be fishing off the beaches at Preston/White Hills next weekend. Hopefully I'll have an impressive pic to post up

Some serious fishing there bud! Nice work. You guys have some different looking fish downunder compared to the ones up here...cool man!
Thanks for sharing!

love my fish'n. that snapper is a beuty. goin' down to Shoalhaven in 2 weeks, fingers crossed for some bass. will post pics if i'm sucessfull.

Said it a long time ago. Need a dedicated fishing section in the outdoors/camping bit.:bananatoast:
I've been catching quite a few flatties with plastics here at Harrington.
No recent pics and i'm not sure what i uploaded to the old forum but i will see if i can post a couple of the trip up to the cape.
My mate went to the US a while back and got me a Daiwa Certate 4000 spinning reel and a G Loomis Bronzeback 10-17lb rod. The reel is fantastic,a work of art but the rod is a real dissapointment. In cairns they wanted $477, in the US $196!!! The blank maybe OK but the fittings are cheap and nasty and in my opinion they are overrated and way overpriced out here. It is a $200 rod not a $477 rod. My fault though. I didn't pay enough attention when i first checked it out.
I will never buy another Loomis and in future will stick to the better japanese brands or get one custom made.
I used to always buy Shimano gear but now have 2 Daiwa reels and reckon they are fantastic.
How come the pics are so small???
The last fish is an Archer Fish. The first pic is at 'Champangne Springs' about 10ks south of the Archer River roadhouse and the other is a glass or two of the real thing at Varilya Point.

Here's a few of mine I found on the computer here at work.

A few nice jewies (spear fishing), and a nice 48cm shoalhaven river bass
