Nice video Jan.
Did the outback damage a strut? Came down quite hard there. Pretty good for Subies with open diffs :raspberry:

Cheers

My bad and thats good to hear that their was no damage. I am always told, especially from people at AuSubaru that autos are better than manual. Couldnt he just put it in 1st or 2nd and crawl up? I dont no never driven an auto offroad

An auto would be good behind a turbo off-road i would think.
The red forester in the video is a 2l auto he hasn't had any problems until yesterday. It ran out of puff on the next big hill, In there defense these hills are extremely steep Both cars were in 1st gear
The Blue Forester is an XT it had no problems with power the lady driving did ease off after the first section that's why it nearly stopped.

^ ok. My 2.0l Forester seems to run out of puff sometimes but for the most part manages. She is a manual though. 1st gaear low range doesnt run out of puff ever but you usually cant get much momentum going. 2nd low range seems to go quite well 90% of the time but a 2.5l or 2.0l turbo behind that and power wouldnt be an issue. 1st, 2nd low range and 1st hgh range are good for rock crawling situations I find with my litle car. She also seems to bounce around a heap rather than utilise the articulation. haha
