Hey, I went for a cruise with the guys at AUSubaru up past Two Rocks on the weekend, I managed to stick the sump guard to the sand 3 times in a row, here's a couple of snaps.

That little Frontera/Isuzu is as stock as a rock and absolutely unstoppable, it spends most of it's time pulling Subi's out, I'd recommend one to anyone 2.2 swb

First time I got stuck, new fold up shovel got a good workout.

3rd time, I tried to slip in backwards next to the orange Gen 2 but it slipped down the bank a bit into the tide area, figured I'd try to go forward to get out, didn't think it was that possible to go down that far lol, 3 snatch straps and a slightly bent tow bar later & I was out.

Pretty much the same spot & the tide got a bit scary as we camped overnight, just glad we didn't wake up floating in the Indian ocean.

Your letting the team down:poke:i always brag about subies being unstoppable on the beach.
It must have been those low profile tyres you have on:iconwink:
Looks like a good time was had with the boys

Yeah 205/60/16's lol, I do have a tendency to go further up the beach than most but I was trying to turn & you can see it wasn't that wide, after that it was just a comedy of errors.

I think only one of 8 Subi's didn't get bogged and 2 broke, one to the point we towed it into town (Frontera again) then Paul drove back to Kelmscot to pick up his car trailer & Cruiser to rescue it but most of these cars are either L series or Brumby's so a little weaker in some areas but still great in the soft stuff with their crawler low range & lack of weight..

Though at the end of the day I don't think anything would have gone through that tidal area which is usually the hardest part of most beaches, even walking on it your feet went down 5-6 inches, it is a notoriously soft beach compared to most we have, a mate even has trouble in his quad up there.

Brilliant stuff, d_generate!! That's the spirit!

Forward, ever. Backward, never!

But if I'd gone any more forward I'd have ended up in the Indian Ocean lol. I'd hate to have been on my own - though I doubt I'd ever get in that situation without backup.....too smart/chicken.
