Wow, it seems it's been a while that i've posted anything since i've been a member. I've been all over this site and others and have done a few mods so far.

I wound up going with the Turbo XS axleback. just a little loud in the cabin. But it sounds Good!
Put a Cobb short ram intake with airbox, Rallytek light bar with Hella Black Magik lights. Did the DIY skid plate. Working on some other stuff as time.... and mostly money permits.
I have been looking into doing the 4WD on demand, but I am a little confused to say the least. Has anyone done this on an 06 4EAT specificaly? I would love to install this but with out knowing Exavtly what i'm doing i'm a little hesitant?

Why would you want 4WD on demand? I would have thought that a retrograde step? Besides, an awful lot of work and money (assuming you want it computer controlled). Might help if you could clarify your location- where is md?

Looks great saw556!!!

Rally, MD is Maryland (like dirtyRU said), east coast US, very small state right next door to our nations capital. I'm pretty sure saw556 is talking about the center diff lock switch.

Ah, maybe Kevin can help on that, as he has some knowledge on the autos. I am a bit unsure too, because I thought the auto had a function (pulling a fuse?) which disabled drive to the rear wheels, rather than locking the centre diff. If you wanted to do that, you could just hook up a simple on/off switch I would have thought, but it would not be computer controlled like they are on other brands. Not sure what the advantage would be anyway.

I'm sorry guys,
I guess I should be a little more specific.

I am from Wetsern Maryland USA. In the Appalachian Mountains.
Not really big mountains, actually I think they're the oldest mountains in the world.( little trivia for ya)

I am talking about the "on demand switch". From what I've heard it's great to have that ability in very slippery conditions, locking the diff 50/50 anytime.
I've read a lot of threads on the install but I know some models are different concerning wire colors, location, and PIN locations

I think the Urals are among the oldest. There's no real definative answers out there though as to tell which ones really are. Of all the searches i did though, only one of the chains came up consistantly, which were them. I know Australia has some oldies too, which is why so much of the land is flat & not fertile.

Thanks for clearing that up saw556- that makes more sense. Unfortunately, I cannot help you as I know so little about the autos. As for the age of mountains, I'm no geologist, but I have always understood that the more rounded the peaks are, the older they are (due to weathering). Either way, sounds like a nice part of the world.

I looked at Kevins old posts on this subject and it seems like he's the foremost expert!

I think I will try getting a really good repair manual or pay for the downloads on the STIS.( good to have anyway)

Hopefully between Kevins Posts, and the manuals i'll get it right.
