We don't have the aftermarket for the Fozzies here in the USA that you Aussies enjoy down under. Thus, I have decided if I want off-road parts for my 99 SF, I am going to have to make them myself. I have found a place that can make vinyl floor matting for my car (Subaru Carpet Kits), I am planning on building a bash plate (doesn't seem too complicated), and I am contemplating constructing my own 1-2" lift.

At school, I have access to all manner of welding and machine tools, as well as penniless grad students who know how to operate them. I am hoping by spring break of next year to have a fairly capable off-road Subaru.

Good luck with the project DH!

somebody recently posted a link to a U.S. company that makes liftkits! i did quick search but couldn't find it. they are around!

The Impreza belongs to my friend Carlos, a Rally addict from Peru.

You can't tell in the pic, but that bra is full of about 14 lbs of sand.

A previous water crossing was so deep, it got in my starboard headlight and popped the bulb.
