What MY Year?

Hey guys,

Just a quick question if I can. I am in the process of order some parts and there seems to be a little confusion!!

I need to know what the MY? year of my car is. It is a Forester X built 08/2005 - and now im sure when we first purchsed it it was described as a MY06, but I cant find any of the paper work anywhere....

Can anybody help me out???

Yes its an MY06 if the build date was say 02/2005 then it would be an MY05.
For example I call mine an 02 since its an MY02 but was built on 08/2001

I ended up googling pictures of 2005 Foresters and realized there were two distinctive body shapes!!
