Blows not having Internet, if my Crearwire goes down I hook my phone up to my PC and still have Internet.
This happens late night sometimes, I guess when they do maintenance.

Haha. oh well. My power tripped out due to the kettle and I lost part of my website I was working on last night

I always carry a spare modem in case of situations like this :biggrin: Thats all part of being an IT guru...

I've come out of the dark ages and now have a 'smart phone'. I can keep tabs on y'all any time anywhere.

I can access the internet via my mobile (cell) phone too if I need to, but with such a small screen & no qwerty keyboard, it's just not the same, if you know what I mean.

I actually won't even log in to the site on the phone, I just use it to keep up with new posts, certainly won't post with it.

Hehehe... anyone remember the crash a couple of years back? Lucky for me I joined up just after this occured and that I really get my "hit" from ausubi - this site had a crash in 2005 I think, everyone went ballistic while it was down and had to re-list as a member... That week or two was a complete loss while individuals didn't know what was going on.

Also - now that I've got mobile broadband its changed the way we access and expect the internet to be accessed. On the way to Hotham in June last year Kez jumped on the net once we hit the Hume and chatted to mum all the way to Hotham, it only dropped out three times on the way up the mount! All that said, it sucks at home were we've got no mobile reception!
And I have trouble not jumping on the net during trips to upload pics to the net! Have to leave the mac off the net...

Glad to hear you're back again, I hate not having access and recently its been work that's not allowed me to jump on here or the net for that matter as often as I'd like to!

Your fishing pics are working great. Were you able to post them directly from your phone, or did you host them elsewhere? If you did post them directly, how did you do it?

haha, no I'm in Crookhaven heads which is due East from Nowra. It's the main inlet for the Shoalhaven river. I've only got a 13ft tinny so I plan hols around somewhere with a decent river system

Ahh yes, as we've discussed before - my sis used to have an onsite caravan at C. Heads and we visited often when the kids were little. My son Adrian caught his first fish there!
