My other toy that comes out of the shed every now and again. My quadbike. Its a 2007 Honda TRX 680 fuel injected. Amazing piece of machinary, very very reliable and quick. I have been riding them since I was 8 years old so about 10 years. Over that time have had 3 quads and a postie bike. Thats one of the great things about living in the country  Had a Yamaha quad which was the 1st then a Honda 500cc quad, now this TRX-680.
This has been the best bike yet. Heres a few specs to enlighten you all on its offroad capabilities.
- front and rear LSD's
- Auto transmission with tip-tonic manual gears
- Selectable 2WD or 4WD
- Locking diffs
- 680cc engine (0-50km/hr about 2-3s with a top speed of 105km/hr)

Since I now live in Geraldton due to work(and finishing high school last year) i dont get to ride her much but I also live in Kalbarri (comute between them). kalbarri is a small country town of around 3000 people with the Murchison River. Every year it flows due to cyclones upnorth and much rain. This year there has been much rain up in Canarvon which flooded the main highway. Since my accident in my car it has an oil leak and no snorkel so I didnt want to take that up the river to have a look around. So here is my New Years Day outing. I went up there to have a look and have some fun in the mud. I couldnt get many places as most are still flooded. Did try one track and took the bike nearly up to the seat in water but decided not to go further. I will ad the videos later.

Impressive feature list, now if they could just make that available to all vehicles....

Yes they are but very dangerous. Im lucky I havnt hurt myself bad on one yet. I am more sensible on them now compared to when I was in my early teen years  had a close few calls though and nearly hit a kangarro on my first one. Managed to swirve, miss it and jump off the bike while it was at 60km/hr before it rolled and went into a telegraph pole. Few cuts, scraps and bruises but I was alright, the bike was roughed up but we got it fixed.

i have ridden a few big quads and they scare the sh*t out of me , i cant get used to them keep trying to lean into corners:lol::lol:

i have to stick to 2 wheels when it comes to this sort of thing I'm afraid

Very nice, i use to have a yamaha grizzly 660 i would use quite a bit out at our deer lease in south texas. Had to part with it though once i planned on getting married - paid for that expensive ring! Sure do miss it though, we call 'em 4 wheelers out chondersways ;)

Never been on a Quad Bike myself :( but they sure look & sound like they're fun to ride. :raz:

Regards
Mr Turbo

I went on the back of a mates quad similar to yours & hated it it just didn't feel safe, and a few weeks later he went over a dune the wrong way and it landed on him badly breaking his leg.......poor bugger had to ride it home too.
