Noisy power steering on right hand full lock turns....

Hi - I'm getting some rather annoying "whining" comming from the power steering on right hand turns at full lock. It doesn't happen at all on left turns.

Any ideas? Is the rack on its way out?

It's fairly normal because you are stressing the pump so just back off a little when on full lock.

I get the whining when I turn left and right at high speeds. But then I just tell her to shut up and hang on.:lol:

check and make shure that your p/s lines are not tuching the crossmember and be shure the belt is not to tight causing stress on the pump

cheers for that - I'll check it out. The noise actually kicks in just before you hit full lock - then gets worse at full lock.

Normal - mine does that... check the fluid levels.
