Unfortunately a combination of extreme driveline angles, high mileage and more power lead to the destruction of the front differential on our way to a rally up north and she ended up being replaced by a 1996 Legacy Outback. more space, more towing capacity and better amenities helped make the transition easier. The Outback is currently undergoing a suspension lift and conversion to run on CNG or LPG (likely LPG as it is much more plentiful and cheaper in our area)

This is the Outback a few weeks after picking her up "Nessie" is what we named her.

Thank you for posting this picture thread, Hondaslayer! Must be fun to own and work on such an eclectic collection of Subies over the years. Kudos!

Eclectic does not even begin to describe the various Sube's I have had over the years  Although I am currently searching for either a turbo Brat, XT6 or an 87 RX turbo w/ locking diff to add to the collection

nice mods hondaslayer.

any progress on the "lil' Red Wagon"?

i have a 2001 outback sport that i want to lift. any advice?

Somehow I missed this thread.

I did lift the 96 Outback, but have since sold it and moved onto a Forester.

I'll try to post some pics of the lifts and the new cars tonight after work.
