Hey guys, after my recent of road trip the underside of my car is covered in clay and mud. I drove up on ramps and sprayed the underside with a hose and got majority of it off but its still there.

I went to install a diff guard and noticed the underside is still VERY covered. What can i do to clean this? Should i rent a powerwasher?

Power washer is one option. An easier one is a carwash that has the "undercarriage wash" option.

I have a gerni and use a 90 degree chassis nozzle. That red stuff is hard to get off though.

I'll second the above posts, a gernie would be your best bet. :iconwink: :)

I just use a car wash with an underbody wash. I get that all the time. As long as it does not affect the driveshaft balanc e or tunnel i leave it be.

Im just worried about corrosion worsening. I guess i will see if my local car washes have the underbody wash, if not its renting a powerwasher time.

Any tips for the engine bay? :)

Ha Ha - nothing that a new motor won't fix!

What? ANOTHER ONE!

well Blu does have a scary tick on the morning that goes away after a few minutes. i did hurt him too last run, i think i hurt a PS rack fitting.

I have given up on cleaning up under the hood with this clay, it just seems to collect more of it :)

hehe... funny that - I love driving my Liberty thru clean puddles - saying to my wife "free under body car wash"
Mine is exactly the same as above after driving thru some paddocks behind Melton... I just cant be bothered cleaning it up as no one looks under the Liberty!

Ive never seen a underbody car wash (yet!) where is one in Melbourne?
Cheers

AP, I think the 'underbody' wash is only available where roads are salted in winter - they would be needed big time!
