Whereabouts? Dandenongs? (given your location.)
What speed were you doing - so that viewers can relate the speed to the size of 'bow wave'.

Nice shots and video.

I recognise the area, I think its somewhere where Warby is or somewhere in Yarra Valley - could be wrong...

my heart melt i see the fog combo with cold frosty weather and i love it!!!!!

Awesome pics mate..
Cheers

It is on the way into donnellys weir, a couple of kms north of Healesville. Nice place for a picnic too.

I dont remember what speed i was going, 10kmh maybe... I was having to much fun to worry about what speed.

cheers mate...

it was late september i went there.

Lovely part of the world.... I took the family to Maroondah Reservoir Park in April and we had the perfect day.

Bit of a hike from Altona but well worth it. Next time donnellys weir is definitely on the cards. How far is it from Maroondah Res Park?

Thanks for sharing! I miss my '97 Outback sometimes; it was a great, comfortable car (RIP)

Good on you mate.

I have to ask, though, isn't that the exact same crossing that someone recently posted a video of another Outback stuffing the engine when a little splash went up the firewall and into the engine somehow... nobody would have guessed it would have happened in such low water.

Nah its is a different creek but very similar indeed...
I saw the video of the outback about 2 days after i had gone through mine... I shat pants as its looks as if i went a similar speed and at a similar depth of water. Next time i do any creek crossing i will be very careful about it after seeing how easy it is to damage the engine..

Goodo then. It's shocking to see those sorts of scary vid's when you've got the same car. My first Subie was an '02 Outback in white just like yours. I loved it too but it made the 4WD bug really bight hard for me and I needed to get a car I could throw into some tougher stuff... sold my 2 year old $45000 Outback in '04 for a 13 year old $3000 L-series... still miss it's leather seats and sunroof... geez you could fang that thing too. :-) Take it easy on your P's.
