Forester CD player won't eject

Hi all

My 2005 Forester CD player won't eject the CD.

I've spoken to my Subaru dealer and they just gave me the number of some mobile fit it kind of guy.

Now I'm not saying I've got anything against mobile fix it type people, but my experience with all things electrical is that it's just not worth fixing and probably needs to be replaced.

Has any one been in this situation before and replaced a CD player in a Subaru?

Should I go original? If that's possible, or should I go to one of those places that deal specifically in car sound systems?

I don't want to go all out and go down the 200 watt amp and 15" sub woofer path, just a simple replacement CD player.

Any way, sorry about the long post.

The CD in my 05 Forry had a few issues a little while ago. It would only play when it felt like it, the discs would jam inside & not eject etc, etc. :furious:

For the price it will probably cost to fix, I'd just replace it with an entire new unit. Thats what I did. :iconwink: :)

With the amount of CD's & DVD's that are available today there's heaps to choose from, it just depends on what you want to do sound wise. :)

Thanks for your experiences, I'll be making my way to Tonkin's (car audio), Adelaide and just get something that will play my iPone as well.
