Oh yeah!! .. been there a couple of times lately.
Try to get down to the most southern tip of Flinders Chase - the lighthouse - and then "do the walk" down to the seal colony. Awesome seascape etc. (PS. Seals really REALLY smell fishy..! ....pooooohhh...)
The caves. Do the caves.
Flinders Chase. Watch out for little things crossing the road. Its about the only place in Australia I have seen Echidnas just wandering along totally oblivious.
If you have a Forester you can do the drive down the west coast - theres a farmer who has built a fairytale castle there somewhere - it's not on the maps. Plus the drive itself is a hoot. (specially if its been raining in a Zooby! its all dirt roads)
Get up to the most northern end too and check out the history bit and dawdle on the way back through all the little bays and tracks. This should be WAY cool in a Zooby. (I tried it in my Volvo but that was just not up to it - too low and a chance of bogging it)
All the usual stuff isn't too bad, seal bay, the honey farm with the Ligurian(?) bees, the tourist bits.
But I think the most fun you will have will be just hooting around in a Zooby. My advice is to drive [relatively] slowly everywhere because of: Bad roads [deceptively so..], roos, other little things, the views, what's the hurry?
The ironstone/limestone roads are lethal for a motorbike (I went there first time on my Beemer 2 up) as the unsealed roads (most of them!) are covered in these tiny little balls. Don't get fooled by the 4 wheel stability, they are very slippery regardless and this has nothing to do with traction. DO NOT drive fast on dirt roads!!
This would be an AWESOME place for a Zooby run as a group. *sigh
Have fun, enjoy.
