I just thought I'd let those who may be interested that I have just bought myself an MY04 Forester. Yes, it is the poverty pack, but with new tyres, pads and rego till next June, it should be a good thing. Originally from the Victorian high country, it moved across the border to Cooma, and now to me. Think I'll put the MY99 WRX rims I had on my last Forester on it. Gentlemen- I'm back in business. LET"S GO SOMEWHERE!

Congrats on the new Forry mate :woohoo:
I haven't been bush for a while & i'm itching for a day trip. :)
Anyone got any preferences of where they'd like to go ?

I was thinking about going north up & around Yengo N.P :iconwink:

Mr Turbo

well done mate:ebiggrin: i knew you couldn't stay away to long. there's only so much of being a passenger you can take:poke: i would love a trip also but i am so busy ATM. see what happens

Congrats Rally! Yes, it needs to get dirty! I got "little subi" back today finally after some bonnet repairs; gibber rock on Oodnadatta track and sliding off the track at Lidsdale.

Congrats Rally on your purchase!

As far as day trips, Mr Turbo, give me a yell when yuo're thinking of heading up, i'll see if i can make it too! Kevin, did you get a new engine in the forester too?

Regards,

Joel

I got a manual. I think the car is ex government or ex Telstra- as the headlight are wired to be always on.

Eden- I was too, but wasn't going to say anything!

The headlights being wired to always on should suit you very nicely indeed. :iconwink:

Yeah, well as you know I always drive with them on. But I asked for it to be converted back to standard because when I sell it, it might spook someone from buying it. Things is, while they are on all the time, if the switch is in the off position, the flashing of high beams do not work.

Congrats on the purchase

Yes , I will get some photos up- might put the rims on first. Collected it yesterday, but did not drive it. Telstra stuffed up at the exchange, no phone and no internet, so I could not insure it. Once I had the phone and internet back, I went looking for quotes, and it is now insured with Shannons. Must say they were a lot cheaper than anyone else and half what one mob wanted.

OK, I'll post these, as I'm not sure if/when I might put the other rims on it.

Would it be worthile setting up a 'sticky' with Insurance comparisons?
