Weekend away in September

Following on from the recent dinner, I thought I would propose a trip from Sydney to Newnes for the weekend of the 12-14th September. The deal would be leave either Friday or Saturday, spend a night or 2 up on Newnes Plateau and have a bit of a wander around, leaving after lunch on the Sunday. Please reply on this thread if you are interested.
 
If subie club members are to attend, the club calendar is free 13/14 and 27/28 atm. 13/14 probably fits with this trip and 27/28 with CheyneR as he said end Sept.
 
Interested, too right I'm interested.
Saturday morning would be better for me, but if push comes to shove I could make it on the Friday.
What ever day is decided on though, you can put me down as a definate starter.

OK, so looking at who is coming, we have Mr Turbo & Kevin as goers, Eden and Dave are keen, but not 100% Is that right? Like Kevin said, why not be greedy and have 2 weekends away- it is not as though we have done any (ORS) this year. Please advise.

Sorry but Im a David - yell out Dave and Ill look around for someone else. DN or dax works well - then I know its me!

I think Im ok - I do need to confirm if cricket is on that weekend.
Also like most things I cant ever 100% commit when work can hassle at short notice.
 
Seems the that we have enough to make it work- just. Remembering of course I don't actually own a Forrie or similar vehicle anymore.:sad: The North Ryde meeting point will probably be best- we can then go up the M2, M7 and Richmond Rd and up over Bells Line of Road. What time do we want to meet? I was thinking reasonably early- say 8.30 ish?

Plan is return home after Sunday lunch. I can bring the ovens for dinner, which leaves lunch on both days and brekkie on Sunday. Kevin- will you be on your own?
 
^ My son Adrian will be with me. I have a new development that may change my plans. I am now a driver trainer with the Subie Club and we have to get two sessions in before Christmas. One of the suggested dates confilcts with this trip - watch this space! We may be in or near the area anyway so could come to camp at Newnes as well.

If Im going you are welcome to come with me.

By North Ryde - do you mean the pub or the park on Fontenoy near the M2?
 
Due to for a recent incident at work :sadbanana: :shake: :furious::sadbanana: I might be a no show for this one, just not sure yet.
I'll know a little more this Friday when I see the specialist. :sadbanana::sadbanana:

With so much uncertainty with so many people, I think it best we postpone this event
