ORS Site Slow/Down

Is it just me, or is the ORS Site very slow at the moment ?

Sometimes I can't access it at all & I'll either get an error message to say that the site may be down for maintenance or it doesn't exist.

Any other sites I visit or log onto are OK so I suspect it's a server issue.

I found some more info courtesy of pleiad7 over at SF.Org


"Richard (SuperRu) mentioned that the servers are in the process of being upgraded: Malware detected! "

"ORS's servers are being updated this weekend. That is probably the cause. I can log in now, but it has been spotty this weekend."


Keep up the good work guys & gals (in admin) Hopefully ORS will be back to normal really soon.

I have a trouble ticket placed with our hosting company. It may be time to upgrade to a better provider. Prior to this issue have you been happy with the site speed?

Edit: I contacted customer no service and Network Solutions acknowledged that they have server issues and they are working to correct it.
 
Has always been fine for me until now.
Was a bit worried today when as slow at work as it had been at home.
Would HATE for the site to have to go through what it obviously went through the last time - just a bit before my membership commenced.

Thanks, that is good to know. I always felt the site was little laggy here. But if it is fine elsewhere maybe we can save some money and stay with Network Solutions.

From here it seems like they have yet to fix the server issue. But at least I can login now.
 
I've contacted NS three times and keep getting the same non answer. They are aware of the problem and it is their top priority right now. Can't say when it will be fixed. We are looking into alternative hosting options.

we couldn't comment on your downloading speed as Australia is way behind in that department. probably seems fast to us but slower to you guys;)

I have been able to log on most of the time today, but have still had a couple or error messages though. :o :shake:
Todays speed has been ok but still not as fast as usual. :o

It has been very frustrating - I've tried about 4 times to post what I've put in the "what have you done to your subi today" thread today... Glad its there now but I forgot what the little dig I was going to have at Barry about being grey haired and wise :(

The server will eventually speed up, but you better watch that Alziemers! :biggrin:
 
Apologies for the multiple posts. Due to error message and no sign of the earlier pos/s having been successful.
Certainly nothing to do with my Alziemers! :biggrin:
