I suppose this isn't news to some, but I was horrified to see that Scorpion Subaru are no longer manufacturing 2 inch lift kits.

This is terrible when you think about it. That either the global financial crisis has got to them, or the demand was just not viable to operate that part of the business anymore. In any case, us Subie pilots who wanted a lift are now without another option for this.

what would be good is that those of us who have a mate in the industry could persuade them to produce an alternative. I will be giving the bloke I know who works at ARB a polite 'push' in the direction of manufacturing Subaru off road gear for our rigs. And I'm talking lift blocks, body spacers, air lockers, bull bars/protection. We need to sell our demand to the suppliers or they will assume that there is no demand....

Anyone out there agree or thinks I'm over-reacting?

Cheers

I agree wholeheartedly. When I first saw an outback with a SubaXtreme bullbar I assumed (incorrectly) that it was manufactured by ARB due to the similarities. What's unfortunate about this is that I can order ARB equipment locally and I don't pay shipping or taxes, while a SXT bar shipped from OZ will cost me a small fortune. If I could buy bullbars, a rear bumper with spare tire mount, body spacers etc. from one international corporation rather then sourcing the parts from all over the globe, of course I would. Thank god King Springs can be had locally or I would be SOL for upgrades in the short term.

Hi All
Scorpion Subaru stopped making the 4 stud old Subaru wheels as well it's probable not worth there while anymore

I have been in contact with Eaton (Detroit lockers) who make diffs and gearboxes and they are not interested in making any lockers or lsds for r160 and r180 diffs:sad:

I suppose the more people nagging them they might think about it againhere is a link to the last post https://offroadsubarus.com/showthread.php?p=14675&highlight=lockers#post14675

Crossbred Performance are making 2" lift kits for most Subaru models. I recently purchased and installed one for my Gen2 Liberty. They are excellent quality and have a no weld steering extension (avoids engineering problems if you go that way) like Scorpion used to. I've owned a BYB kit for another car and i would have to say the Crossbred kit is much better quality.

I also got a mega beefy diff protector and an awesome front bash plate that is huge.

Biggest plus for me when dealing with Jeff at Crossbred was not having to pay untill everything was ready to be posted.
