hey guys just signed up, seems like it will be nice place to hang out. anyways i need new tires for my 02 outback wagon, and i was thinking about getting something a little taller than stock.

stock tires are 225/60/16 and have over all diameter of 26.6", i was looking at the set thats 27.3".

just wondering if anyone here running taller tires and what are results (rubbing etc)

cheers

Welcome dziuggy:welcome:

On the OutBack I couldn't tell you for sure, Foresters will take a 215/65-16 with no issues. I'm sure someone will chime in soon, there are plenty of OutBacks on the board.

Had to say Hi, since I spent the better part of my life in SF.

G'day dziuggy & :welcome:
I'm not sure either, but as carljwnc said I'm sure someone on here will know.

More of the same...

Hi, I'm another noob to the site.

i have a stock standard 05MY Outback & would also like to know what tyre / wheel options members have used, their experiences, etc.

I have a Subaru Baja, similar dimensions to an Outback. I have all terrains sized at 215/70 16. There is some minor rubbing on the front tires at full lock. But I also have a spring lift as well as a 2" body lift kit.

I have an 07' OB and found that without lift and springs we have a very narrow size range. Unlike a Ford, Chevy, Range Rover ect. it is not fender wells that hamper us, it is the strut!
