Haku tackling the hill, it was slick! He's even locked front and rear. Karla thankfully told me to air down, and we walked right up it with no trouble at all. She's really getting good at helping me out!




Can you see the rest of the group starting to gather in the meadow at the base of the hill?




Man the views...




The beginning of the group gathering at the campsite from the previous night. This is where we would hold the raffle, eat and hang out.




I was surprised to see they were burning a huge felled tree! It worked great. When it's time to move it,
what do you do? RedRhino pulls up with his winch! That man is awesome, I watched him numerous times
over the course of the day show up at just the right time to help folks out with his trusty old warn.
Good man!

After the awesome raffle and some great food, we headed out in small groups. Karla and I headed off alone, sure we would catch up.
We ran into Brody, Haku and RedRhino playing on some rocks!




We gave it a shot!
I find every time we got out with folks we get a little more bold trying new things.
Seeing other's lines really helps me to learn!

Was great to have Bill there to show me the ropes,
while I did have to take slightly different lines than him given his 'burb,
and his driving skills, are much better than mine, I never would have tried
that rock without him going first!




His line showed I didn't quite have enough clearance....




But take it at a slight angle, and up we went.
Man it's easy to forget how massive this rig is until I see pics like this:

The driver, Nick, of this stock Suburban just moved to
Colorado from Florida.
He had a rather eye opening experience sliding backwards down a hill!
I guarantee next time he won't lock the brakes! :lol:

Karla's the cameraman for most, yes! Sometimes we tag team to get still and video. You should see the pics she takes from the back of the bike. She'll hang her hand with the camera down by the road on the inside of a turn and snap away. Totally awesome!

Turbo - its worth a look, there are some cool scenery shots!
 
Glad you guys enjoyed! We had a great time for sure. Got friday off due to the easter weekend, plan on heading out again. Karla has to work, so the pics won't be as good (or as numerous :lol:).
