2009 Subaru Forester 225/70/R15s

Hey All -

Mostly I lurk here, but I'm trying to take a dive into 2009 Forester offroad mods.

I just e-mailed Paul over at Primitive, and the Team Dynamics Pro Rally 15" wheels should clear the 2009 Subaru Forester brakes as they are the same size as the WRX. They look like some pretty rugged gravel wheels.

This opens up some new tire size possiblities. I am heavily contemplating trying to run these with 225/70/R15 General Grabber AT2s. They're well within the 3% rolling radius rule, but I wonder if anyone has a simliar width tire? Does anyone know enough about tire size calculations to tell if there would be any strut rubbing at full lock?

Stock 09 XT is 225/55/17 (diameter 680mm), 225/70/15 (diameter 697mm). That's marginal and I dare to say it will fit nicely. I'm on 1.4" strut lift and running Geo A/T-S 225/60/17 (diameter 702mm) and the Foz love running around with it. No rubbing whatsoever.
