2005 Outback rear LED lights.

Has anyone replaced any of their rear lights with LEDs?

In particular the reversing lights. If so what globes did you use?

Also, will coloured LEDs work with clear lenses. EG amber LED if a clear indicator / red LED in a clear stop light?

I sent you a PM

Sorry I missed the links in post #1 My bad:shrug:

Another Aussie supplier.

Found this googling today.

Was looking for LED replacements for the '7440' wedge globe. (Outback tail and reversing lights)

Found a link on a Lancer club forum. They were a big rap for this Melb based supplier. Includes free postage - Australia wide - on orders over $150 (from memory). :)

Will check them out on Saturday.

Achieving rear LED globes on PERMANENT full brightness.

As those who have followed my 'hijacking' of this thread will be aware, I am intending to replace the drivers side reversing light with a red LED, functioning as a FOG light and the passenger side with a white LED, which will remain as a reversing light.
I am using T20 wedge base '7443' globes, which are the equivalent of 'dual filament' (i.e. STOP light) globes.
So that the reversing light will be as bright as possible (now that there is only one) and likewise the Fog light, for obvious reasons, I need to have both set to light up as brightly as possible, as if functioning as a 'stop' light.
Is anyone able to describe / explain to me how to wire so as to have these LED globes always light up at 'stop light' intensity?
