My 05 OBW has just developed a squeak in the brake pedal.
The squeak is definitely in the cabin, not external. It also occurs if the car is stationary.
Is this likely to just be the pedal pivot / hinge, or more 'sinister'.
Not happy about this 76 Hrs before 'Go Day' for the big trip.

Hopefully this isn't indicative of the master cylinder having a problem.

Try some lubricant on the "pivot" and see what happens.

I'm sure you'll find more noises before you leave on your big journey! Unless it clunks, knocks or rattles badly I wouldn't worry about them - just turn up the stezza but make sure its the kids music!

All the best on your big trip, even though I'm sure you've already left...

Cheers

Thanks Bennie,

That's the trouble with newer, more expensive cars, there is a tendency to fret over them.

Still a couple of days away from leaving. Getting this Net book tweaked so it does what I need on the road.

Thanks for your good wishes. I intend to post piccies en route. (The wonders of wifi and maccas!)
