Hello...
I hope someone can answer this without getting too upset at a noob......

I am getting a 1998 forester L....

Stock tires are 205/70/15...nothing I like in that size that I can find....

General Grabber at2's look great...but the closest size is 205/75/15....

Will this size fit????Stock????

What else will work in an AT style tire????

I'd like to stay as close to stock as possible.....but would like an AT tire....

Help please....
Thanks:)

Welcome kaboom. :) Where are you located?
We run 16" tires and wheels on our 98 Forester and there are a ton of tires available here in the states.

I am located in far northern NY......

I really have no intrest in changing the wheels....

I would like a more aggresive AT type tire...stock size would be OK....If I could find what I am looking for....

This Forester will be mainly for my 30 mile commute to the job I just got...
Down a windswept 2 lane road in the winter...it should be entertaining...

Maybe the occasional fire road or fishing trip but nothing too extreme...

I have a CJ-7 for the real tough stuff:o

OOPS!!!!

Forgot to say thanks for the welcome and the reply!!!

Welcome Kaboom, best tyres i had on our '97 fossie were Maxxis MA751 205/70 15 A/T tyres. Check out www.maxxis.com for the latest style, I think the MA751's are an old style now. Not to expensive and great performance. Unfortunately I didn't have the car long enough to find out their longevity.

Thanks folks for the welcome...:)
Those Maxxis tires look a lot like the old Goodyear Wranglers......
I had a set of the Goodyears on a small 4x4 pickup and they worked well.....

Alas....Neither appear to be available in the apparently odd size on the 1st gen Forester.....
