So I've managed to bend a wheel yesterday. It was my own damn fault :madred: I did Moon Gulch from Apex to Rollinsville and was rushing to loop back to Central City to meet with Smash. I was almost down to Rollinsville and the trail was smoothing out so I was able to pick up some speed. I was rallying at about 40 when I came around a bend and there it was - a rain drainage across the road:

I've hit the brakes, but wasn't able to slow down fast enough. I've hit it hard at about 25-30, straight on. The right rear took it the hardest:

Luckilly it was pretty minor and wasn't leaking air, so I was able to hammer it back in a bit (with a big wrench, since I'm too dumb to have an actual hammer in my tool box :shake:):

Since it's on the back, I don't feel it much, but am affraid that when I'll rotate them back up front, it will be more noticeable. Does anybody know where I could get it fixed? The wheels are just standard OEM steelies.

Also, the steering wheel got knocked off center and it's turned slightly to the right now (just a few degrees). The car tracks relatively straight though (it's always had a slight pull to the right, nothing new or newer there - the pull didn't get worse). I'll have to get under it soon and check it all out, but I've been suspecting the rack & pinion mounts/bushings being lose for a while.

Any ideas?

hahahah i did basically the same thing but i was going 60km/h didn't the brakes and me whole foz got air, i didn't bend a rim but i bent me two back struts, which took a bit of force with a hydrolic jack to get back to almost straights so me wheels didn't rum me struts

The beauty of steel rims!!!

Sounds like it's time for a good front end inspection/repair/alignment. I wouldn't bother trying to get that rim fixed:sad:, probably best just to replace it. Since those are the spare tire rims, I'll bet you could pick one up at a wreckers in perfect shape pretty cheap.

It would be cheaper to replace then have them repaired, believe me. I looked into repairing one of mine, I saved $65 replacing it!

All fixed and better now. I've stopped at Discount Tire today to top off the tires after the run (got lazy after Monday), and they were even able to make the wheel look better than I did. They've taken the tire off, and just as I've suspected, it was just the lip that got bent. No biggie, they just bent it back and balanced it no problem. And they did it for free. So now it just looks like a bad case of curb rash

Sounds like you got one hell of a deal! Congrats on getting it up and running exactly the way it should be again.
