I am looking to buy a KYB and KING Spring 30mm raised setup and am looking for some last advice before purchase.

I'll be buying from a vendor on Ebay - ozautoparts - and the complete setup will cost around $870

I have been reading through the forums, and have noticed that people have been saying that when they have lifted an 01, that their biggest regret was not putting SG Struts in the rear. Do they give extra clearance or does the spring seat move further up and away from the wheel, allowing more room for increased rims and tires?

So with all the light you experienced folk can shed, would it be better for me to buy raised KINGS and KYB's to suit 01 for the front, and raised KINGS and KYB's to suit 03 SG) for the rears?

Thanks in advance guys,
Harry

Yes, the spring perch is further up giving more tyre clearance. I'm sure I read "somewhere" that you may as well go SG all round.

I bought my set off that ebay seller
If you're not in any hurry, keep an eye on that listing as he may discount it as the listing is coming close to ending. I got mine for $70 off

Definitely go with SG struts all around, they offer another cm of clearance to the spring perch on the rear (essentially free lift and you can fit larger tyres more easily). I think the SG fronts were marginally longer too, one of the European members had the exact details from memory.

SG struts, with SF springs and SF top hats. IT'll also give you a bit more height in the back as the rear sg struts are longer in the body than sf.
