Went for a bit of a dune cruise and overnighter near Two Rocks yesterday (45mins north of Perth).
Bloody great fun if your looking for something close by to play around in.
Got the rig stuck twice.... All good.
The first one.. which I have a few pics of here... needed just a bit of a push.
The second beaching took a little more effort. I finally got to use my Big Haul hand winch. Even had to bury the spare tire 4 ft down and use that to winch off. That was after pulling 2 massive clumps of shrub out of the ground first.
I'd never done that kind of recovery before so it was quite fun. We would take up a heap of tension and get the car to shift a little then reverse up a little. Kinda like gentle snatching. We didnt want the tyre popping out of our well dug hole. Worked really well....
All in all... great area to skoot around. Heaps of tracks and heaps of somewhat techy climbs to test ya rig......
Pretty keen to run a group day trip if anyone is up for it....

Guess every recovery is a learning experience, hadn't really heard of burying the spare before, makes good sense.
