Hey Guys,

The Tyres on my Wagon are just about kaput and im almost 100% sure they will not pass rego!

What i would like to know is, out of these two tyres, which one would you pick and why?

Most of my driving will be on road/highway with a bit off road every now and then. say about 75% onroad and 25% offroad.

The tyres are,

and

https://www.jaxquickfit.com.au/tyres/brands/maxxis/ma-751-bravo?tyre_rim_diameter=13

Has anyone ever used them before? would you use them again?

I am a bit worried with the MA-751's as they only come in 155R13, 155 is not a very thick contact patch on the road. am i being silly? or is there a risk here? should i go the 175R13 on the UE-168?(even though its not actually an A/T Tyre)

I currently run 175/75/r13(could be 175/70/r13) and they are just stock street/road tyres.(held up ok offroad)

Any help is appreciated guys! if you know of a better brand/tyre/anything let me know!

Cheers,

Nuzo

I wouldn't be going any smaller than the stock size 175/70R13 (which is what I have).
If possible slightly bigger like 185/70R13 or 185/75R13, something around there would be good in a all terrain if possible. I don't know much about those tyres though.

Going smaller could make it more dangerous onroad and in the wet they aren't the best as is.

Lol, I am running 175/70R13's on the Justy right now, they seem pretty small on Rusty, I can only imagine what they would look like on a big brother Subie :)

yes as said i wouldn't go smaller, im sure there is something out there either in stock size or one size bigger that will suit your needs i cant suggest any as im not very familiar with the smaller sizes

the UE-168 comes in 175R13 and is a light truck tyre(not A/T) but i agree, 155 just looks really really thin. i would be scared to go on the highway with that!

I would go at least 175 up to 205. Modern tyres dont have the same aquaplaning problem they did years ago, so go as wide as you can for more grip. More grip on road & esp on sand & mud...

Re tyre brands...unfortunately Yoki Geolanders only go down to 15" :(
