As above thanks to Callum the sparky, he worked out the wiring in about 30sec and it works great though I'm yet to try it with a load, just wound it all the way in and out but here's some pics of the mount thanks mostly to seagulls over engineering, welding and cutting skills and a bit of help from me the idea's man on some of the design, I'll try it out (one day) and if it seems like it'll be useful I'll have a tow bar mounted to the front on the bash plate.

I can't see it being much use as a 4,000lb winch but doubled back to the car on a snatch block it'll double that so 8,000lb or roughly 3.6T of pulling power may be useable, good thing is I got a second complete unit for free from FleaBay if I burn it out lol. It has a hard wired remote which will be stored somewhere for emergency's or a wireless one which will be used for convenience.

As you'll see all I need to do to fit it is drop the tow ball pin through it and connect to power (not worked out yet)

Very useful! I'm setting one up for the Triton; a 12,000 lb (5.4 tonne) with 28 metres of Dyneema rope. Got it from Supercrap $499 and purchased a hitch cradle from DNA offroad. Have to put it all together yet. I have a 3rd battery sitting in the tub so powering it is not a problem.

Sounds like a much better set up than mine but I didn't it want too much weight as it'll rarely get used, I'd say this is about 15kg all up but I'd love some of that rope to save weight and so I could fit more on the drum as this is only about 10m from memory.
