Had some time to get back to work, so I've added a few things.

Two recovery points and a sump guard.

I tried what another member did using his plans and measurements:

I don't have a brake in house, and the bends failed miserably.

Instead I headed to the yard and picked up some 3/16" plate, I suspect I would bend the frame before anything gets through this thing.

Completed after fitting:

As for the recovery points, started here:

Then fitted, welded, and painted all the pieces:

Clearance of the sump guard to the sump and filter:

And everything installed:

Looks Great! I like the bright yellow. All you need now is a 'whole car' photo with the sump guard and recovery points.

Looks great man! That is a think sump guard! Recovery points look solid too. I need to look further into that!

Looks awesome!!!

So did you end up cutting and welding the steel, or did you come up with a way to bend it???

Ordinarily without a brake I would just cut about 3/4 depth where I wanted the bend, make the bend, weld it back, and grind it flat. But I don't have aluminum welding capacity in house, so I ended up going back to steel. Its much heavier, so I made it just wide enough to cover the sump and filter. So same process, just cut it to depth, bend it outwards, and fillit weld the gap back in.

Lovely job! How did you mount the recovery points? I was under the impression that there was nowhere strong enough on the body to mount them and that they would most likely rip the panel if used. It's a mod I really need here!
