After not getting "enough" of the bitter cold and ice on Friday, I've returned yesterday for some more fun
I've competed in the Street Stock Bare Rubber class with my all seasons. After winning 4 out of 5 races (or was it 3/4?), I've placed 4th. I didn't really care about placing as I just wanted to have fun, but needless to say that I was pretty happy with the results being it my "first real competition" on ice
I was kinda surprised to see only a few vehicles on the ice yesterday (compared to Friday's turnout). I was expecting more, but I think I'm just "spoiled" from our local SCCA autocross events (not related to OG4W). Still, over about 25 cars and trucks isn't too shabby I guess
There were a few Subies out there representing too (about 6-7 I think), and this almost looked patriotic (if the STI was white)
This sport isn't only for wicked Jeeps and cool Subarus
It was a good weekend, and a great start into the New Year!!! I also got video yesterday and will post it up as soon as I find time to sort through it. Stay tuned!
