Does anyone have a pic and/or dimensions of the block that is added to the rear trailing arm body attachment point from, say, an SF body lift kit? (I assume there is such a block) I think it just a rectangular block with 2 holes drilled through it - but am not sure.

I would very much appreciate posted here or emailed to me at kevin@subaruforester.org

My car goes in on Monday for some adjustments to the rear suspension.

The Wholesale Suspension guys are building blocks for me - I should get pics as they make progress. The block needs to be stepped.

I think these may be of interest to all who are lifted as it will push the rear wheels back towards the centre of the wheel arch and realign the vertical position of the strut.

It's a beautiful thing!

The Wholesale Suspension guys are at it again! Love their work. Here are progress pics:

Kevin, can't wait to see the finnished product so i can understand what you are trying to do

Awesome, this sounds like a great little idea. But wont the front still be the biggest thing stopping larger tyres?

My aim is not larger tyres as I'm very happy with the 21575R15's. It's to drop the front of the rear trailing arm to counter the strut lift and so push the strut back to its natural position and also give more clearance between the tyre and front of the rear wheel arch.

I've got the car back and I'm very pleased with how the strut now sits and the wheel has moved back about 10mm. The car is sitting about 15mm higher in the rear; I'll measure & get pics on the weekend.

They also modified the rear struts and replaced inserts due to sideways stress, still Koni but originally for the front of a V8 Holden Commodore.

Fair enough. I can see how you can gain some of your lift back too, well done. Have you looked into lower offset wheels so you can fit a wider tyre on? Would certainly look awesome with some 235's under it.

I used Outback trailing arm mounts they push the wheel back about 8 mm it don't sound much but it works.

They are getting harder to get as word gets around shh dont tell anyone:iconwink:

^ ha ha - good tip Jan!

Very interesting,
Just so I have this right in my head.
When you fit the strut top blocks the strut goes off vertical, by fitting these trailing arm blocks it brings the strut back to vertical which re-centres the wheel in the arch!
Should anything else be done while we are 'down' there.
If you buy one of the more comprehensive lift kits do they have all this stuff included? Which kit do you buy?
regards

If you buy a full lift not just a strut lift it will come with it
A full lift is a lot more expensive tho
