Loch Lomond on 08-28-09

Lisa had a day off on Friday so we've headed out into the Mountains again. We've decided to try Loch Lomond and do some hiking up there. I've gone up to the second gate in July, but it was still closed, so this time we've gone all the way. It was rocky, but not hard at all. Had no issues with clearance or steepness of the trail and we had a very nice day. We took our time and spent the whole afternoon up there. We've met a few folks on the way up that thought we needed help - we were parked and taking pictures or setting up camera :bcool: I got a kick out of a guy in a Wrangler coming down and riding his brakes :rolleyessarcastic: We've hiked up above LL to the other two lakes. Lisa has bad knees plus our 3 1/2 yr old daughter was with us so it took us a while, but man, the hike was definitely worth it for all (even Anna Marie had fun!). Lisa had pointed out a vehicle sitting atop of the mountain across from LL. It looked like a 4dr Wrangler on Kingston at the rock house (pic 49). It sure was nice up there :raz:

Better late than never, right? So here we go...

After setting up the roof mount, we let the Land Cruiser pass and then we've followed him up a short way before stopping for more pictures:

When we got to Loch Lomond we saw these two 4x4s sitting atop of this little embankment above the lake. Looked fun so we've decided to drive up and park with them. The hitch decreases my departure angles, but it saves the bumper:
