Hi All!

My partner and I are now 2 weeks into owning our 2001 Forester 'Skippy' and thought it's about time we said hi and thanked everyone for contributing to such a cool forum.

Our plan is to turn it into our weekend camping/cross country car to explore the Canberra and Southern New South Wales region. We've done our first two little trips across some dirt mountain trails and accidentally joined in for a stage of a TSD rally (oops), but have held off on any major adventures until we can fit some A/Ts, a bit of a lift and Sump guards.

Cheers
Mali and Liz

Hey Mali and Liz

to the forum

Very sweet ride you guys have !!
Congradulations on your purchase.

If your looking to do some offroading in your forester, some good A/T's and a subiliftoz lift kit plus a sump gaurd would be a great place to start.

Talk to user NachaLuva on this forum about his Subieliftoz lift kits which alot of us have fitted to our subaru's.

Other than that Id reccomend a good LED bar or spot lights for night time driving.

For my wife and I, we started off doing weekend camping trips which turned into a week or 2 away at times, and to some remote places, so I adapted to our needs and so far for us thats been 3 things.

1- A power pack that jump starts the battery if it should go flat , and charges all our usb devises while camping.

2- A 12v air compressor to pump the A/T's back up after airing them down.

3 - A small trailer to fill up with all our stuff when going on longer trips.

For you guys, your 3 things could be a roof top tent, a 12 fridge and a dual battery system, it all depends on your what type of camping you guys do and how comfortable you wish to be whilst out there.

anyways enough from me
