@1WD Foz, what's the plans for the Lib after the swap? I know someone who might be interested in the shell if it's still roadworthy bar engine.

Hey mate ,

I’d be keen to see this shell go to someone who’d get good use of it being that it’s only traveled 130,000ks and it’s in such good condition for its age.
It needs brake pads and a new fuel sensor or something cause the gauge doesn’t work well but apart from that it was surprisingly nice to drive.
Let me know if you or anyone will be interested in the lib once the engine is removed.

Good effort 1WD!

Looking at your pics, don't forget to swap the knock sensor. The ej22 one would probably work fine but for the sake of avoiding headaches swap it anyway.

Lastly (for now), don't over tighten the knock sensor bolt. I can't remember the proper torque setting so you'll have to look it up

Cheers

Thanks heaps mate,
It’s coming together slowly

Today I’ve gotten my hands on a cheap timing belt and some vice grips plus a metal drill bit so I can lock the cam sprockets and flywheel so I can undo everything needed to be installed on the EJ22E

Also now would be a good time to replace my front right cv boot or the whole axle and joint.

Thanks for the knock sensor advice, I’ll install the ej20j’s knock sensor on the EJ22 block and keep the ej22e’s knock sensor just in case.
