Default Hello from Scotland

Hi, just bought my first Subaru a 1989 Brat with a 6 lift kit. Only one problem it has the std 1.8 engine which is underpowered with the large off road wheels and tyres. My hope is to install an ej20 engine and box from a forrester, they are plentiful here and cheap. I will need some advice on drive shafts wiring etc

A 6" lift? was the previous owner overcompensating for something?!
Welcome aboard.

Thanks all for the warm welcome. It has just passed an MOT, UK safety check, so looks to ne sound. some photos ignore the health and safety issue in my new garage.

Those are very big tyres!! It looks like you would get a 6 inch lift from tyres alone. Do you have to use low range to get up hill on tarmac?
