Any idea why posts are double/triple spaces? I have to edit every single post to eliminate bizarre spacing that was not there in my draft.

Don't know - I'll see if there's anything behind the scenes that will change it.

Test line 1
Test line 2 no extra space on my end

Test line 3 double-spaced on my end

EDIT: yes, it did it again. If I double-space, it makes it triple spaced.

Works fine for me; I'm using Win 10 & Firefox

I'm guessing it's something to do with the preview.. If I quick reply it seems to be double, if I preview it jumps to triple.

Also at a guess, somewhere along the line it's converting the double line spacing (which may be just two line breaks) to a line break and a paragraph.

Theoretically, there's only a sinlge space above this line.

Edit: Dang. There goes that theory. Win8.1 Firefox latest.

Edit 2: I think editing doesn't do it.

Edit 3: Dang. That theory blown too. I should be a scientist!

With
Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

And Firefox 64 bit v.60.0.1 - there is one line blank above this one.

Two blank lines above this one.

^ This seems to be a Firefox/Windows problem, as my post above clearly shows two line spacing and three line spacing when there was only one CR/LF and 2x CR/LF characters inserted.

Yup--and the same happens on the Outback forum as well.

This seems to work. I changed to "Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls"

achieved by going to User CP then under "Settings & Options" select "Edit Options"

Page right down to the bottom and you'll see "Message Editor Interface:". From the dropdown select "Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls"
