Georges Junction

Planning on driving to Georges Junction this weekend, near Kempsey.

The road in and out looks pretty straight forward, however i've seen plenty of photos of trucks crossing the river. Has anyone been up there? Are the crossings essential? I don't think i'd like to give it a go without a second car there.

Never been there - looks like a really nice spot!

Google Street view says camping right beside the (dirt) Kempsey Rd.

No river crossings required - except on bridges.

Visited the area last week -- it's open for camping but I would strongly recommend heading 5 mins up the road to Cracknback instead.
