I don't suppose they're the same part?
i.e SF Forester Front will go into SG front, SF Rear will go into SG rear..?
Had a look on autopartswarehouse and it seems they're the same, can anyone confirm?
 
Some might. You need firstly to check whether the inners are male or female. Abs rings differ also on the front.
 
No they're different. SF is female on the gearbox end, SG is male. They may also be slightly different lengths

Rear axles should be the same, depending on the rear diff. Some SF GTs have the type 1 viscous LSD which use asymmetric axles
 
Early SG's can also be male and 4EAT's (may) have studs, all this can be mixed up ! Talking about the front CV's that is.
