Wink New Member needs lift spacer specs

Hello!! Iím glad to be apart of an awesome unique group. I love my Subaru and I am from Pennsylvania. So far Iíve had people tell me itís awesome Iíll be lifting my Subaru and some people look at me like Iím a crack head. Lol but besides the point Iím glad to be here. Ive never really been apart of a forum. But I am really trying to get some help on doing my own subframe spacers. I was wondering if someone has done their own. I canít really afford the prices from all of the competitors but I luckily have a machinist on stand by. But Iím struggling to find any information on the specifics on bolts, spacers, holes. Basically any dimensions. I have a 2008 Subaru Impreza. Any help would be great !! Sorry if this isnít allowed but I wasnít sure where to post this!

G'day & Welcome aboard @CodyMccool

Your search for specs is certainly allowed. Good luck with the lift.

If your machinist works for free, I've got some jobs for her/him/them..

What else are you planning beside subframe spacers? Long travel shocks or strut top spacers? I've seen some specs for forester strut tops somewhere (possibly not here), but not imprezza.

Have a chat to Matt at Subie Lift Oz, if you haven't done already. you might be surprised at the price.

Haha! Maybe he will :b

I ordered some Forester Xt struts and ordered a pair of rims with a 4 inch offset so I can run some bigger tires.

I appreciate the suggestion! I have talked to him. And they seem like they are well made but I have heard of people making their own. I only want to know so I can build my own. I am still thinking about buying them. They are just a bit too much for what I want to spend. The reason is, if I do choose to put strut spacers on top of my struts. I would like to add additional subframe drop it make the suspension in alignment.

I know he makes great products and have watched multiple videos and heard countless good things about him and Subie Lift Oz. I'm just someone who likes to undersand things to their fullest if I can. I am pretty new to the Lifting of a Subaru. I was just hoping there were maybe some dimensions flying around.

Thanks !

Sounds good. A few members here have had great success with long travel coilovers - no strut top spacers required. I though you might have been heading in that direction, but forester struts would give you a reasonable amount of lift on their own I reckon.
