Hey Guys,

I'm just after a few ideas. For a while now I've had my Engel mounted to the OEM boot lining of my 2015 Forester. But the recent addition of an ArkPak has me concerned.

When I place the ArkPak (approximately 30kg) in the boot, the floor sags under the weight, and I'd like to do something about it before I hit the road.

I'm just wondering what others might have done to either reinforce the OEM carpet floor, or DIY tips for a new stronger floor.

I don't really want to go all out and install drawers etc. even if they would be rather handy.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Robbks made a super floor etc for his. Search for his thread about his build.

If you plan on keeping it all in the back for extended periods of time a strut tower brace may be useful.
Easy to put in and out when not needed and keeps them, more or less, vertical.

I took out all the floor trim, put it together ontop of a sheet of 1/4" ply and traced out a piece. Covered the top in grip rubber and cut out the hinged section of the floor for the jack.
