EDIT: I just realised I posted a TV-like comment above. It was at around 2AM this morning and my brain as already asking to be rested.

When I was driving solid axle vehicles, there is that feeling that you could run over anything especially with such articulation and big tyres, like in the case of the Patrol. I am not sure if his rear tyre is hitting the fender/wheel well already but it seems as though it's limiting him. If lockers are installed in such vehicle and the driver continues to wiggle/force it like that, so much strain can be built up and people usually break something.

With your Subaru, the limits of the car are very well-defined hence the selection of the lines and mastery of the vehicle are crucial in those situations. It think that is what's demonstrated in the video.
