'00 Forester....Snorkel...Lift...blah blah....

So its a new world of ORS members so I'll share the beast afresh.....

So.... the old donk was gettin grey so I did some work....

Replaced the old auto with a manual, 2.0l with an '05 2.5l with Lib smarts...

Had a snorkel sorted too.....

The manual was fitted with an uber low Scorpion set-up... 33% apparently... feels pretty damn low to be honest. Works well... Its no screamer and has more bark than bite due to the 2.5" from the cat back but it's turned a few heads offroad and left some big trucks thinking they'd been invaded by aliens or something... just gotta keep the feet on the ground. The Scorpion bodlift and Kings give it a good chance offroad and the Kings have improved body roll and general stability quite a bit. There's a few others like a fan cut switch and ABS cut out.... throw in some comms and GPS and its an all round pony. It's really built to get me out of trouble not into trouble.. although I have a habit of looking for it :-(

The snorkel is a Safari Snorkel... from a Pajero...... Mr Turbo did the first and I followed.... Check out
this thread to learn more...

I might hopefully still have the info (install & pics & part No's etc) of when I had my snorkel put on my 05XT. When I find all of the relevant info I will post it up for all to see. It might take a few days though.

I think the lift is excellent... Best you Google Scorpion Subaru and ring them, ask them about their lifts... Specs change now and then and i refuse to give you a bumm steer. For me it was a 30mm body lift with a spring lift. Gained about 50mm all up......

I love that Foz! If I didn't just spend $1800 on a new camera I'd have a snorkle now...

I wish we could get those damn cattle gaurds out here in the US...

I did the work. I do drive ofroad and after dragging my bumper decided to do the mods. I do like the snorkel idea. I hade an 06 Baja and if I had a snorkel on it would not have sucked in water after going through an ice covered road. TOTALED. I have modded my intake and am thinking of a redo to a snorkel.
