Yesss!!!

They have had enough expression of interest to commit to doing a Subie R160 locker, I've been told price MAY be around $750-1500 depending on type. Hopefully the cheaper price lol, but either way I'll be getting one for the Foz, & hopefully one each end!

I was told that yes, now they've had enough expressions of interest, but to actually develop it they will need a certain number of actual committed orders (with deposits). Hopefully there's news of that at some point soon, I'm keen for one.

With a rear locker, the central 4 kg differential might be a bit weak…but this still is very good news !

Yeah that's certainly true. I'm running DCCD now which I hope would be good enough. L series vacuum locking centres are not exactly common!

This looks promising... Any word of them producing any yet?

One question, i know that most subaru's come with the R160 rear differential; I had a look at my subaru OB 2002 diff and all that was stamped on it was ND1021 269... Is this an R160? I cant find much on this... It would suck to be left out of a rear locker ;(

G'day hirdse

Yes, that's a R160. All Subarus run a R160 rear diff except the later WRX STIs

That thread Kevin showed is for a R180 conversion & locker. It's very expensive, extremely complicated & still hasn't got it working yet. Total cost for this will be around $5k

This is the R160 locker thread, check out the Facebook links for the official R160 locker page. Don't forget to fill out the survey!
