Default SG seriesII rear SLS - GONE to good home

... or nearest offer ...

They have shagged struts, but otherwise seem OK.

Pickup at Beaumaris only.

Hey, PS, I know the feeling well. Roo2 had serious saggy butt syndrome.

However, the strut assembly is fine except for the strut itself, which are both buggered.

The strut units I am offering need a new strut fitted to them. I fitted swap out/swap in Pedders complete assemblies as they also came with heavier duty, progressive springs.

So, just to be clear, you are offering the top hats and springs because the strut itself is buggered?

Thanks Kevin for clearing this up.

Ratbag, which Pedders strut did you replace with your original SLS strut? How much did it all cost?

What is mean by progressive spring?

And I believe there is no more "Self Leveling" after the change?

Sorry didn't mean to hijack this post

Cheers

Linear Vs Progressive Spring: http://automotivethinker.com/suspens...-rate-springs/

Correct, no more SLS after the change.

Thanks for the link Kevin - have better idea about progressive spring now.

Pedders Ezi Fit suspension - pair of complete strut assemblies. The Pedders part nos. are 808473R and 808473L.

Around $800 fitted and with a wheel alignment. I didn't get Pedders to either fit or wheel align as they were MUCH more expensive. Cost me $74 for fitting and about the same for the alignment.

The spring gets progressively firmer as it compresses.

No. The car rides and handles noticeably better. Loading it up compresses the springs by a few mms., that's all.

No worries, mate.
