I just fitted a pair of “Dicen” led headlight globes to my Forester to complement my 20 inch led light bar.
The globes cost me just under £21 from eBay UK.
They are H4 and fit and play immediately.
Each globe has two (2) 20 watt led units which give dip and main capability.
The light is pure white 6000K and very clean.
This really is far cheaper than buying Sti units at many hundreds of dollars.
The difference is amazing.
The globe units seem to be well made and come complete with wiring and fan and heat sink cooling.
Highly recommended!!

They appear to be identical except for the aluminium colour. Mine are a purple colour while your example is silver.
For the price they have to be worth a shot !!

Wilf.

^ shouldn't be a problem providing the beam output and beam angles comply.

that's legislation for LED headlamps (bulb + enclosure), not LED bulbs in halogen enclosures.

Unless they're tested to ADR46 in your enclosure (extremely unlikely), they'll be non-compliant -- I wouldn't be putting them in your low beams due to risk of dazzling oncoming drivers if nothing else.

Some info from RACQ suggests people are being booked for these.

High beams would be fine, IMHO.

Hi Duncan, thanks for that. It was the only piece of legislation I could find last night. I will modify accordingly.
