Does anyone know how to adjust the alternator's charge voltage to the battery? Is there an adjustment nut or something on it. It's running at 14.5V and I want to adjust down to 14.2V.

2004 Forester X.

Thanks

I think (?) that is all handled by the alternators controller. I've never heard of anyone adjusting one - may I ask why? Usually if an alternator is overcharging it cooks batteries and it's time for a replacement.

The regulator controls the output. Check with SA or auto electrician if it is too high (I prefer 14.2 as well) but maybe the reg needs a look (replacement).
