Not my Forester, but a great time off-roading in my past Land Rover with a whole group of Land Rover owners. This was taken out in the Rio Puerco west of Albuquerque. That's me in front.

I haven't had a lot of off-road opportunities. A couple of months after I bought my Outback, I went to Colorado and Utah.

Here's one from Colorado, when I was trying to get to Paradise Divide and Schofield Pass..

And one from Utah.. I'm pretty sure this was after Shafer Switchbacks and Pucker Pass, somewhere along the Potash Road..

Not much of a pic really but it'll have to do for now, the beach was pretty soft but it drove straight out with the new 4.44's hi/lo & front LSD

My Liberty/Legacy on the beach a few years ago.

My old cruiser going up it's favourite dune, a bit to the left with a good enough run up it'd get air at the top as it was a sharper rise.

Here's one of me from a few years ago.
I remember it like it was yesterday as it was on one of my very first offroad trips.

Regards
Mr Turbo

Gee, picking just 2 shots from all my Forester trips and my across Australia trips. Well, here we go. First one is on the Birdsville Track in SA after having negotiated Mirra Mitta Bore. I removed the valuable front guards and bonnet just for this trip- hence the colour mis-match

This one is on one of the first ORS trips I did. Coming back up the same way was on 2 wheels- something the standard diffs did quite well surprisingly. This was my first Forrie- still my favourite of the 2 Forries I have had

Since many of you are new and may not know, I'm not just some wanker who wandered onto this forum with a Yota.

When I first joined up here this is what I was driving.

Then came this.

I dearly miss both of these cars. The '83 GL just was rusting away too badly and I had kids to drive around, at that time I could afford a car payment so the XT came around. Then we had to buy a house so the car payment had to go. I got YotaRu because I could 'out of the box' off road it, whereas any Subie would have taken modification to take on the trails around here. Anyway, these are two of my favorite pictures ever!!!

The XA was a genuine GT. After I sold it I heard nothing for 10 years, until I was contacted by the current owner. It is now in country Victoria. Ironic really, as I believe that is where it originally came from. I did all my trans continental trips in it- great memories.
