I recently bought a headlamp (for my head, not the car) from Annaconda, which was on sale, reduced 70% according to them, which always make me think that the mark up is huge if they can discount by this much.
Anyway, it's a single LED that is focusable, has 2 brightness levels and also flashes. It is surprisingly good and was reduced from $49.95 to $15. It does appear to be exactly the same as this

I have ordered 3 of these to see what the difference is. I got 3 in case they are OK and was willing to take the risk.
Also ordered one of these

as this appears to be more powerful.
Here are the really good ones and it seems they use the same CREE LEDS or at least from the same people.

I'm not normally one to trust cheap stuff but am doing it out of interest more than anything.
Makes you wonder though (with the qualification that the chinese ones i have ordered are they same-excepting the Led Lensor brand) just how much we are paying for stuff here.
$7 out of China or $50 out of Annaconda.
I'll let you know what i think when or IF the stuff turns up.
I also ordered some CR2450 batteries for my remote control for my Minn Kota boat motor as i read on a fishing forum that the Panasonic brand do not work for some reason. I have not confirmed this but just got a spare battery for it last week and it happened to be a Panasonic one.
I paid $7 for one battery and just ordered 2 cards of 5 for $7.20 all up.
See how it goes i guess.

I also ordered some rechargeable batteries to see how they go.
It appears the 1w headlamps are out of stock so i see if i can find the 5w one.
