Picked up my 2004 Forester from the crash repairer (see my post 24 December), front guard, headlight and bonnet have been replaced. Really pleased with the paint job. The repairer refitted the bent bullbar as the replacement bullbar will not be available till the end of January. Surprised how quickly the repair was turned around.

Sadly not a good start to 2015. Hit a large male Kangaroo in my wife's SH today
At 2 pm you don't expect to be on the look out for Roos although I do often see them. Bent the drivers side front guard and broke the headlight protector but not the headlight. Bounced off the drivers door and left a muddy paw print on the door! He disappeared into the bush so hopefully the big fella is okay.
The car can be repaired and the wife hasn't killed me (yet) !!
On a brighter note filled up the 2002 XS after driving to Lorne and back for my 28th Pier to Pub swim on Saturday and after 600 plus Kms used 8.75 ltr per 100km.

Geez, HC

Are you being accident prone as your New Year's resolution?

That's a real bugger, mate.

Like you, I hope the roo is OK. They're pretty tough IME.

Havachat.... Things come in threes. Find a bottle, go outside and break it and hopefully this will be the end of your bad run.

Best regards,

Sorry about your Foz, will you make a claim or fix yourself?

Could you please call Wildlife Vic & tell them where you hit the kangaroo? He needs to be found as he will almost certainly have injuries. Roos can hop away even with 2 broken legs so you cant go on appearances
